In Trance of Scarcity Victoria Castle artfully describes how many of us are handicapped by a scarcity mentality. If you are ready to experience more abundance in your life read this book.

Do you ever tell yourself that you’re not enough? Not smart enough, not rich enough, not good enough, not fill-in-the blanks enough? Or do you worry that there is not enough; not enough time, not enough money, not enough opportunity, not enough… whatever. Consciously and unconsciously, dozens of times a day, we tell ourselves that we are lacking, that our lives are lacking, that the universe is lacking. We lull ourselves into what Victoria Castle calls the “Trance of Scarcity” – a numbed state in which we’re crippled by the pervasive assumption that lack, struggle, and separation are our unavoidable fate. But what if it is the very story we tell ourselves – both as individuals and as a society that keeps us trapped in this limited state? In her book, Victoria shows you how to embody a new story – one that is about abundance, inspiration, and your own innate ability to create your reality. Once you break free from the Trance of Scarcity, a more meaningful and fulfilling life is yours.

I hope this book helps you replace the life story that keeps you in a limited state.

In a few weeks millions of North American’s will carry out the age-old practice of making New Year’s Resolutions, even though statistics suggest that one in four people NEVER succeed and have failed in keeping every resolution every year.

So why do we keep doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result? Perhaps it’s because deep down, we know that some part of our life requires our attention, and the dawn of a new year seems like the right and perfect time to commit to change.

The problem with committing to change without the support of an internal belief, vision or plan is that most of us will fail to follow through.

1 in 4 people NEVER succeed in keeping their resolutions

If you are an annual Resolution Maker Breaker consider bucking tradition this year by making your commitment to change in a couple of different wayw.

1. On new Year’s day Begin with the end in Mind. Get a sheet of paper and write a future letter to yourself describing all that you achieved in 2012.

Here’s an example:

Dear (your name): I can’t believe a year has gone by already and how easy it was for me to lose those last 10 lbs. ……….. I knew working out would challenge my commitment, but asking Cindy to workout with me, really helped make it easier…. .

Continue to write about whatever else you want to achieve. Be creative and as specific as you can. No detail is too small.

Whatever you can imagine, you can achieve

When you are finished put your letter in an envelope and on the outside write ‘My No Resolution Resolution – put it somewhere safe (or put a note on your Outlook Calendar reminding you to open on January 1st 2013

You’ll be amazed by what you’ve accomplished.

2. If you want to reinforce what you’ve written in your letter, attend my Vision Board Workshop
